WOYWW - Back to school is no joke!

A very good morning to all who come to visit me, epexially the wonderful people fromWOYWW I apologise for not getting to very many desks last week, but school started again and between trying to teach, helping the new leaders get used to all their duties and attending more functions than I care to remember, there  simply was no time for my weekly fix. I will try to do better this week. My desk, as you can see, is back to its normal chaotic state. I was getting a bit worried about the fact that it stayed clean for so kong. LOL You will see the aftermath of a cardmaking frenze (I got my Stamp TV lit and could not stop playing)
There is also the beginnings of a card I promised a friend and then all sorts of lovely goodies.
This card was made from the Stamp TV kit and the image coloured with my beloved Copics. I really like how it turned out.
This is what started the cardmaking frenzie. I watched one of Gina's videos and wanted to give the technique a try. Loved the embossed and inked background and wanted to try some more colours... the rest, as they say, is history! I have a whole lot of cards and I think it would make a super gift. Now for making a box that matches.

Thats me folks. Its 5 in the morning and I have to get ready for school. I will be back later to try and visit as many of you as I can
Have an awesome week.

  19. You have a lovely fall look going on in your room with that great tablecloth! I love the look of the wall system in the background!

Your cards are fab...I see you are like me and like to make a few the same to add to the stash!

Thanks for visiting little Miss C's blog (theponygirl06). She is so very excited about her cards and her blog.

But you have been a little naughty! I may not read her the bit about getting Grandma writing the pony book for her! She keeps me very busy creating with her as it is as she also paints and beads! Her latest interest is the yummy little girl sewing machine sitting on the kitchen art table. She bought it with her own money and told her Mum...don't worry, Grandma will teach me how to use it! ahahaha!!!!!
Luckily she forgot about it when she was telling me what to write on her blog post.

I told her Mum not to take it out of the box yet as I have a basic, fairly newish machine here...A friend bought it and didn't like sewing and gave it to me to teach little Miss C how to sew. I was waiting till she was a bit older...Oh well, the earlier the better I guess. She wants to sew a purse! teehee

  21. That's such a lovely happy mess Tertia. I haven't used the Gina K things before and I don't have any of her stamps, even though I like them very much. I do love StampTV though, very inspiring, and I love your take on her cards, I'll have to have a look at the new things she's posted. I looked back at your older posts that I'd missed, really loved the family reunion one.

  25. Great looking cards Tertia! I like the tree card and have some stamps I could use to make a similar one. I think there is a lot of knitting to be seen on WOYWW this week. Like you I used to knit a lot, sew a lot, and do A LOT! I got tired of it and didn't do a lot after the kids moved out but now I am back to doing it now. Have a great week and have fun creating. 44. Your cards are lovely - I will have to try out that technique! I can understand why you missed out a WOYWW when you went back to school - I did as well - no matter how well prepared you think you are, there's just so much to do (especially when you're planning a couple of weeks off to recover from surgery just after the term begins!!) By the way, the ribbon with the red spots actually came tied around the bedding and curtains sets we bought for the bedroom - so at least it will match perfectly! - but unfortunately I won't be able to buy any more.

  46. Lovely cards, Tertia. I know that feeling only too well when school starts again. It was very odd for me this year as it's the first summer after I've retired as a teacher. Thank you for visiting my workdesk. Please come back at the start of November when I will be posting a tutorial for the origami bows to kick off our Christmas Countdown.

  50. That's a lovely big desk you have to play on! And I see some fab organization in the background, love your paper trays! I wish I had the space for something like that, although I am very thankful just to have a whole room to use for crafting and all to myself at that. Your cards are beautiful and you did a great job with the technique. :)

  52. Hi Tertia. thanks for stopping by to leave a comment. I thought I had been to you but found I hadn't. I love that big table space you have to work on, but I guess the more space I have the more I spread out, so perhaps it's just as well I haven't. The cards at the end of your post are so pretty. I love this sort of more simple card but I never know when to stop adding bits. Must try harder!!! Kate x #97

  58. Gosh, you were up super early! Sorry I'm so late getting round to everyone, but better late than never...

I sign up to the Gina K/Stamp TV emails, but haven't yet bothered to buy anything as I thought they may not send abroad - now I see you've got a kit, I may review that opinion and go and look. If I dare!

    Thanks for stopping by...

  59. I'm not even sure you will read this comment, since I'm so very late for last week's WOYWW, but early for this week. Sorry I didn't visit, but I didn't play last week. Sometimes life gets in the way.

I wanted to let you know I received your lovely package with all the beautiful goodies, the incredible and over the top card, and the ROCKING HORSE, which I love beyond belief. Truly. It's definitely one of a kind. I am really honored that you would be kind enough to have this beauty join my collection. How incredibly thoughtful of you.

It took an extra five days to reach me, because the package was marked such that I was required to sign for it. The ONE DAY I saw the mailman, he said it was at the post office waiting for me to pick it up. The next day (Saturday), I went to the PO and they said it was with the carrier! I finally got it this morning, the final day before it would have been returned to you. What a hassle my postal service puts me through.

I cannot truly express in words how grateful I am for your act of kindness. Your thoughtfulness is beyond words. And your package will be on my WOYWW post later tonight (well tonight in my world).
